Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Lara Collins and David Lynagh
Visiting the area for a few days? Here are some of our favorite ways to pass the time! The Brookline Village stop on the D branch of the Green Line is only a 4 minute walk from the hotel.

Bow Market

1 Bow Market Way, Somerville, MA 02143

Great open-air market with a collection of shops, quick bites, and spots to grab a beverage. Grab a bite at one of the local eateries (we particularly love Saus and Hot Box) to go and bring it with you as you check out Remnant Brewery and Rebel Rebel winery!

New England Aquarium

1 Central Wharf, Boston, MA 02110
, (617) 973-5200

Easily accessible by T from the hotel, the New England Aquarium is famous for its multi-floor central tank and wide variety of marine life!

Night Shift Brewing - Lovejoy Wharf

1 Lovejoy Wharf, Boston, MA 02114
, (617) 456-7687

Night Shift is a local brewery that many of our friends will tell you has some of the best beer around. There are several locations, but the Lovejoy Wharf spot is easily accessible by T from the hotel and has a full-service kitchen. Fun fact - Dave and Lara technically went on their first date at the original Night Shift location in Everett!

High Tea at the Boston Public Library

700 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116
, (617) 536-5400

The Boston Public Library hosts high tea every weekend. Reservations are usually required. The tea room has amazing floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the courtyard, and the menus are inside copies of literary classics!

Fenway Park

111 Boylston Street, Brookline, MA 02445

Even if you're not a Red Sox fan, Fenway Park is an important piece of baseball history and definitely worth exploring. Tours are available year-round.

Museum of Science

1 Science Park, Boston, MA 02114

The Museum of Science is renowned for its excellent exhibits and specialty programming! We recommend checking their website for hours schedules, as some exhibits may be closed or require special ticketing for entrance.

Fall in New England

Various Towns, MA

Our wedding is in the heart of Fall, and we encourage you to take advantage! If you have access to a car, some of the best "leaf peeping" opportunities are a relatively short drive from Boston, as well as other fun Fall activites like apple picking and hay rides. We recommend checking out spots in Natick, Lexington, and Concord. For literary fans, Louisa May Alcott's home is also in Concord and is available for tours.

Middlesex Fells Reservation

4 Woodland Road, Stoneham, MA 02180
, (617) 727-1199 ext. 406

The Middlesex Fells is a super accessible nature reservation that actually sprawls through several towns north of Boston. You can access "the Fells" (as it's often called) through any of these towns, and is even accessible by public transportation! Visit their website for more information as well as printable trail maps.
