Our Story
Kayla and Nick met at Lutheran High School in 2015, becoming close friends long before their story truly began.
After both moved to the University of Missouri, their friendship deepened. Nick made the first move—Kayla hesitated at first—but by March 2021 she realized it was more than friendship, and they officially began dating. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
Nick graduated in 2022 with a Health Science degree and continued toward his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, while Kayla completed the Nuclear Medicine Program in 2023. In August 2023, Nick started PT school at Washington University in St. Louis and quietly began planning a proposal.
Shortly after their four‑year anniversary in 2025, he surprised Kayla with a proposal in Forest Park. Since then, Kayla bought a house, Nick earned his doctorate, and together they’re building a future filled with joy, love, and laughter.
