Our love story began a decade ago, thanks to our dear friends Katie and Brandon. Katie always insisted that Jeff and I should meet, but with Jeff living in Chicago and me in DC, it seemed impossible. Fate, however, had other plans. When Jeff finally moved to DC, I had just left for NYC. We crossed paths several times over the years, but the timing was never right. Then, in 2014, while I was back in DC for a work event, we decided to meet up and this time, something clicked! Shortly after, Jeff visited NYC to celebrate my birthday. His gift to me was a photo he'd taken from Millennium Park years ago. When he took the photo, he was standing in the park with his then-boss and being asked to move to DC for work. Fast forward to 2014, when Jeff handed me that photo, he said, "This was the spot that brought me to you." Our journey wasn't always smooth. We spent most of our relationship long-distance, taking buses to see each other every other weekend. We'd leave after work on Fridays and hop back on Sunday nights. After reconnecting in 2021, we decided it was time to make our love story permanent. Jeff proposed in the very spot in Millennium Park where he had taken that meaningful photo. And now, here we are, ready to celebrate our love with you! 💖
