Matron of Honor
My baby sister. She is my bright flower, the one who always paints bright yellow and orange into my lavender and blues...Growing up in Kenya, our bedrooms were beside each other. Opening the bedroom doors side by side, it was not difficult to tell whose room was whose....hers had bright yellow walls and orange curtains, mine had soft lavender walls and peach curtains....She is definitely my chirpy sunshine in conversations, thoughts, life and especially in this season of life! My wedding day wouldn't be complete without her by my side as she is is the colorful pep in my step!
Maid of Honor
Officially my alter ego :-) We met the first day of College; assigned as freshman roommates and immediately argued over whose side of the room belonged to whom. ( Technically, I had come first and booked the better side by placing my bucket on the mattress --- I came back to the room later in the day and found she had made her bed on my side! ) anyways, that was amicably resolved (yap, I got my side of the room back.)Today however, many days ,nights, years of life together and we are best of friends! Zena and I have gone through life stuff together and come out on top, praying for and lifting each other up, crying, laughing hysterically, travelling (Tanzania etc.)Zena is my alter ego; she pushes me to reach heights I could only dream of and I am blessed to have her as my maid of honor!

My elder sister and first born in our family, this girl is a trail blazer, like literally! From working at one of the top global companies in the nation, to executing, owning and running an African fitness clothing line, clothing & accessory shop, to being a top contestant in the fitness industry & a fashion model...ahem...do you now get the drift to why she is a trail blazer! We call her the energizer bunny! Wow Jackie! Also, Jackie is loud. She hardly stops talking. I on the other hand am quiet and soft spoken. Its so funny that despite our very different personalities, Jacky is still the one who gets me! She can tell in one second flat if I am scared, sad, or ecstatic by the first few words I utter, my voice or looking into my eyes. My wedding day wouldn't be complete without Jackie!
Matron of Honor
At six feet tall. Maureen easily towers over me. The first week I interacted with Maureen during undergraduate freshman week, I categorized her into a prim and proper lady; one who exuded class, elegance and sophistication. Spending time with Maureen I quickly discovered greater heights of moral standards , and that Europe is not really that far away. Over our college years, we quickly became best of friends, taking similar classes and symbiotically studying together; she would always remind me to eat , I would remind her am not hungry and to keep on studying. Today Maureen is one of my top prayer partners. The fact that she resides in Uganda, just prompts us to plan well, meet, pray and chat endlessly when we do meet in person. She has taught me to set goals and unwavering achieve them!

During my pre-med year at Agnes Scott College, this girl approached me with a question in organic chemistry...and that was the beginning of our friendship . The girl was Millie Foster. Together, Millie and I studied, had coffee dates, and then studied some more. I knew Millie and I would be friends forever when she told me that she was also a pilot, plays piano and ...wait for it ...she hunts.....yap! Everyone needs a Millie! I am blessed to have met mine already ! Anyways, aside from all that, Millie is one of the sweetest and family-tradition-embracing people I know . Our friendship has lasted beyond our pre-med year and we look forward to working together as doctors one day . Millie is the friend who reminds me to stop and smell the roses, yet urges me to speed along the highway.

Beautiful inside and out , Kira is an elegant Brazilian masterpiece. (p.s I tell her to walk far far away from me because she literally attracts attention wherever we go..but, Kira will grab my hand and laugh and then attract more attention...) As immigrants to the USA, we have shared experiences and life milestones that have definitely solidified our friendship. A talented architect, interior and landscape designer, Kira is one who can effortlessly transform a blank space to a master piece. But, that's not really why we are friends....we both are peaceful people and Kira and I can spend endless hours talking , laughing , shopping and working .... she is the Brazilian sister I get to have . Having her beside me on my wedding day is a perfect piece to the canvas of my life .
