Neither of us were believers in online dating. Yes, we both had friends who met their spouses with dating apps or websites, but we were cynical. It wouldn't work for us. But, what the heck; we both decided to give it a go, try to get out of our rut and just meet people! Christine joined Bumble at the high recommendation of her friend Brittany who met her fiancé on the app. Not really understanding how it was really that different from all the other ones, she made a profile. About two months after Christine's reluctant entrance onto the dating scene, and just a couple weeks after Jay created his profile, their profiles connected. Christine was scrolling through her matches on a weekday night in November and there he was: Jason Dunn. She recognized him immediately. She knew the name from her brother's short time at Emmanuel Lutheran School where he played basketball with Jason- and oh, did Christine have a crush on him then! So, of course she didn't waste any time sending him a message. It took Jason a few days, but he FINALLY asked Christine out on a date. She typically wasn't shy about asking first, but this one excited her. They met the Saturday after Thanksgiving on a whim, grabbing a beer at New Park Brewery, then dancing the night away at a local restaurant. They both knew that night this was different. This was special.
