Visit the Mayan ruin park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. We recommend flying to the airport in the city nearby (Flores) and booking a full tour. The park is 576 square km. For all of you rock climbing bitches: Enjoy private transportation from Antigua to the Pacaya Volcano National Park entrance where you meet your guide to begin a 1 1/2 hour hike up the volcano. Watch results of the recent eruptions and the volcano smoking and experience incredible views. Hike back down and drive back to Antigua (6 hours). Any time from 6:00am to 1:00pm (1pm last departure time – 6 hour trip) | $160 for 1 or 2 people includes transportation/guide/entrance fees and box lunch. $75 per person for 3 people or more.
