Like most people nowadays, we both ventured outside the comfortable confines of our social surroundings and took a chance on the internet to help us each find a "match." Deciding to strike up a conversation, I gathered up my courage and messaged Christina and felt pretty confident about it... until my message went unanswered for a few days. After searching the crevices of the couch for misplaced resolve and courage, I messaged her again and this time, much to my pleasure, she responded. This lead to many of a long conversation over the next couple of weeks where we became more comfortable with each other and heeded the advice of Pink Floyd and started to "Tear down the walls." Finally, I proposed the idea of walking away from the shields of our computers and phones so we could meet in person. In layman's terms, I asked her out on a date. After succumbing to the mantra of "What's one more bad date", Christina agreed and we were in business. I had an idea of what our date was going to be but I was a little apprehensive. We had discussed our musical inclinations and it was apparent that we had a lot in common with Donny and Marie. No, not that we didn't drink alcohol or caffeine, rather that "She's a little bit Country and I'm a lot bit Rock N' Roll." So armed with that knowledge we had dinner at Palms Thai restaurant in Hollywood and of course the next logical stop would be to go see Gary Numan in concert... which is not in her wheelhouse for music... or type of crowd... and did I forget to mention it was at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery at night? Since that first date we have been to over 50 plus concerts together ranging from The Grateful Dead, The Eagles Jackson Browne, Easton Corbin, Kraftwerk, the PIXIES and the Desert Trip festival. In those almost six years together, the soundtrack to our lives and our love has grown tighter and is the greatest music we could have ever composed together with a great backing band of family and friends along the way.
