For their freshman year of college, back in 2019, Christian and Karsyn attended Texas A&M at Corpus-Christi and quickly became study partners, dining hall buddies, and eventually inseparable best friends. It became undeniable that they couldn't imagine life without one another, and after seeking counsel with loved ones and the Lord, they decided to start dating on October 22, 2019. It's been the best 3 and a half years growing in love together and they're so excited for this next season, they've been dreaming about it for a while now!
The night before Aggie Ring day, Christian arranged with Karsyn's friends and family a surprise proposal. So the night of September 22, he took her on a walk through the newly built Aggie Park on campus. With rose petals and candles spread out on the ground, he led her under the branches of a live oak and told her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and finally asked her to marry him! Of course, she said yes, and the two celebrated the engagement with their friends and family that evening at a private dinner at Gate12.
Christian and Karsyn both firmly believe that marriage is a God-ordained covenant between a husband and wife, where the two vow to love and cherish each other forever. Marriage is a representation of Jesus' love for the church, as He laid His own life down so that anyone who believes in Him can take part in His eternal inheritance (Romans 10:9, John 3:16-18). Jesus loves the church unconditionally and irrevocably. Christian and Karsyn readily await the day they get to exchange vows and promise themselves to one another for the rest of their lives, and they hope that you experience God's love for you on that day as you witness His true and perfect love being represented.
