Christian and I met in 2018 at JPMorgan Chase. We were on the same floor, same department, and even sat across from each other, but it was not until the following year when we really connected. Our mutual friend, Gigi, invited us out to try a new restaurant called Taste Bar & Kitchen. After dinner, we all went to a bar to continue the night, but our friend Gigi had to end the night early. Christian and I were not ready to call it a night, so we stayed and continued to get to know each other. We then did a little bar hopping with just the two of us and instantly connected.

A whole pandemic was happening, but Christian and I were already inseparable! Fast forward to May 19, 2020, we became officially boyfriend and girlfriend!

May 19, 2021… the day Christian and I became engaged! We were celebrating our one year anniversary of becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. We really didn't make any plans until that day (or so I thought), because it was raining on and off all week, but we were going to make the most out of our day to celebrate US. Christian told me to get dressed for dinner because he wanted to take me to Brenner’s at the Bayou. Neither one of us had been there before. We arrived and the rain had stopped. Christian had made reservations, so we were quickly seated; however we did not like where we were sitting, so we decided to move to the covered patio where there was live music (one of our favorite things to do together). We ate dinner, had some wine, and even dessert. As we finished, Christian said he wanted to go take pictures outside where we saw a gazebo across from the restaurant. We had to cross a bridge with beautiful flowers and greenery on either side. We took some photos together and then Christian asked me to turnaround so that he could capture me with the beautiful scenery. Little did I know he was getting down on one knee with the most beautiful ring! He asked me to turn around and there he was asking me to marry him! BEST DAY EVER!
