Maid of Honor

Nicole is my older sister, but also my absolute best friend. We are often at awe with how lucky we are to have such an amazing relationship. This made it very easy to ask her to be my Maid of Honor. We have shaped each other to the people we are today. I have gotten the privileged to live with her once more in our current apartment. She fills my life with joy and laughter, and although I have seen here all my life, I still look forward to every moment I spend with her.

You'll see that I say this about all my cousins, but it's very true that I feel so blessed to have family that I have beautiful friendships with as well. This definitely applies to Chloe. Chloe and I have been a duo from the beginning. We were always paired together due to our closeness in age and out of that grew our friendship. We've had amazing experiences together traveling the globe with our family.

Meghan is one of my cousins who I have also grown a close relationship with. She brings joy to every room she walks in, and has a heart filled with love for her family and friends. Her beauty on the outside matches her beauty on the inside. All the laughter I have experienced with this goofball is enough for a lifetime, but I am glad that it never stops!

The friends I have standing with me on my wedding day are friends that have been with me for the last several years of my life. Brooke is one such friend. She has the sweetest soul, and loves deeply. She has become more like a sister to me in the last year as we have lived together in our apartment. Together we have grown in our faith as we have grown in our relationship.

Claire is another friend of mine from high school, but our friendship took off when we went to college together at Purdue. Claire is a caregiver. She cares for her friends by praying with them and providing comfort and joy! It's perfect that she went to school to be a nurse! Claire loves the Lord and loves her friends. I'm glad I am one of them!

Annie is also a friend from high school to now. When I think of Annie, I think of a person I have always been able to let my walls down with. We have cried and laughed together. She is one of the funniest girls I know. I loved living with her for a year of our college experience. We also grew in our faith together which was so important to me in my early college years.

Haley is my oldest cousin. She has been a great role model in my life. She is loving, devoted, and inspirational. I've been able to watch her be an amazing wife to her husband Andrew, and I hope I can apply what I have seen from her in my own marriage. I know that having her by my side on the wedding day will make me feel so comforted. She has been so amazing already even with having a little one on the way in July!

Kara is another cousin of mine. I've been compared to her a lot by our family as we share similar personality traits and sense of humor, and honestly, it is such a great complement. She loves so deeply and brings everyone joy. A room full of laughter is a happy room, and that's what you get when you are around her. I hope I continue to receive the complement of being in any way similar to her.

Maddy is my future sister-in-law! I could not be more excited about that. We have had time to develop our friendship while Christian and I transitioned from friends to dating to engaged. She has been rooting for Christian and I from the beginning! Family is so important to me, so knowing that I'm gaining a sister whom I already love makes me feel beyond blessed. How did I get so lucky that Christian had an amazing younger sister? Talk about a package deal.

As the sole groomsman to care about the biographies, he wanted one. I have known Keeton since kindergarten, where we roamed the playground of Eisenhower Elementary. Through elementary, middle, and high school, I loved spending time with Keeton mountain biking, attending athletic events, and going to Bible study. A prolific friend, I am so glad he can join me for our special day.
