In February 2016, we both happened to be on a cruise to Cozumel to celebrate bachelor and bachelorette parties. We met in passing (aka on the dance floor) but never knew each other's name. Fast forward to June 2018.... where the wonders of Facebook brought us together. We spent our first date sharing pizza at Antoni's' in Lafayette (which happened to also be Chris' first trip to Cajun Country!!). We were both hooked, and not to just the pizza... The next three years, we took turns running Interstate 10 just so we could spend time together. Whether it was Chris driving to Lafayette for "boujee brunches" with Aimée and friends (don't forget the quick trip to Billy's boudin), or Aimée and Kirby making the trip to Baton Rouge and then Denham Springs for BBQs and foodie tours. However, 2020's pandemic provided us the opportunity to spend more time together as we were both working from home. At times, we reached for the whiskey and wine to help cope with our new co-worker but... in the end... we are very fortunate to have had the time together as we realized we were both ready to commit ourselves to each other in good times and in crazy times. After a trip to Cancun to meet the Saucedo family, Chris proposed in his living room with Kirby as our audience on December 12th. Best Christmas ever!! We were both thrilled to share the news with family and friends and eager to start the wedding planning!!! Chris will be putting his house up for sale in July and moving to Lafayette where we can then both be regulars at Antoni's :) We are so excited to have you join us in celebrating our love. We value our friends and family so very much and would love nothing more than for you to be present when we take our vows.
