Adam had been working for Hormel Foods for about 3 years before Chong started with the company. They didn't really talk to one another, and neither of them really remembers how they met or when it "became official." They just remember hanging out together for the first time on 09.27.15 to watch a Super Moon that coincided with a Lunar Eclipse. Adam drove Chong around the country looking for a dark place to look at the moon. Ended up finding a random field with burn piles to hide the truck behind. Chong remembers this as a really poorly planned date night. There was no blankets or comfy chairs to sit in. They laid down in the truck bed which wasn't comfortable at all. Chong remembers wearing shorts as it was summer, and how annoying it was to sit on the rough truck bed liner. They were very unprepared as they did not bring bug spray and were eaten by mosquitoes. The view was not that impressive either because it was a really cloudy night. They only spotted the moon once in a while when there was a break in the clouds. Towards the end of the night, it also got very chilly and neither had warm clothes with. At one point during the night, Adam's mom called him to chat about the Super Moon. They talked for what Chong thought seemed to be forever, especially while on a first date with someone new. That's all they remember. The End.
Let's set the scene: Adam in full Christmas "Formal" Wear, and Chong wearing a tree skirt as a skirt to walk in the 2019 Menomonie Winter Daze Parade with the Andersen Windows float. Everyone was given a bag of goodies to hand out except Adam because he rode in the sled of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Float. After the middle of the parade route, Adam switched spots with Turner so that he could hand out candy. Chong was told to be stingy with her candy bag to avoid running out too early. So, when Adam called Chong over for her bag of candy because he was out, he had a secret planned that she didn't know. He reached into his bag, went down on one knee, and pulled out the ring which stopped the parade. Chong and everyone around was super surprised. When she said "Yes!" and went to hug Adam, she knocked the ring out of his hand into the snow. Luckily, he found it right away which allowed the parade to resume.
