We met through online dating, but both of us had reached social dating burnout from swiping endlessly only to be met with disappointment in the quality of humans that were out there. Chelsee threw her last Hail Mary when she came across Cameron's profile - a man of few pictures, but an overwhelming kindness in his eyes. She sent him a message, hoped for the best, and swore off online dating ever again. Cameron had turned off all his notifications and hadn't logged into his account for weeks until one weekend when he was floating with his buddies in New Braunfels, TX and his phone overheated. When it re-started his settings defaulted and his notifications came through...one of which was Chelsee's message. We set a time and date to meet up for dinner. From that night she remembers a guy who wouldn't stop fidgeting with his hat, and he remembers a woman who asked too many questions. After dinner we still wanted to get to know each other so we grabbed ice-cream and brought it back to his truck where we dropped the tailgate, sat in the bed, and watched the sunset...Cameron asked for a second date. Later that night Chelsee's mom gave her the best life advice: If you don't know by the first date then he deserves a second date. The second date turned into a third and a fourth, and here we are two and a half years later. Cameron proposed on July 13, 2021 in the place Chelsee holds most closely to her heart, Yosemite National Park. It was perfection in every essence of the word - God, Family, Nature, and so much Love. We've hit life hard together, from adopting a puppy, buying and selling homes, medical highs and lows, new little family members and lost loved ones, military moves, job changes, and long distance perseverance. And so, we invite you to join our small and intimate gathering as we continue our forever-journey together.
