Hiking to black sand beaches "Jurassic Park" views- Pololū Valley

LOVE this hike. It is not very difficult (short, though there is some elevation change) The landscape is dramatic and the sand is very black. The little town of Hawi is on the way there or on the way back and they have cute restaurants as well as a delicious Shave Ice spot.

Snorkeling

You can rent snorkel gear down at the beach or book an actual boat tour through the front desk.

Golfing

Moonlight Manta Ray Swim

The Night Manta Ray swim is available for the adventurous guests! You can book directly through the front desk. You will enter the water directly from the beach, under the moon, and swim with these gentle giants.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters

Recommended company is Blue Hawaii Helicopters, but again you can book directly through the front desk and see what various options are.

ATV- Aloha Adventure Farms

Volcano Tour

You can book directly through the front desk as they will have multiple companies, but this is one recommendation we found.

Copper Bar

Copper Bar is the best spot at the hotel! Book far in advance. They have live music during cocktail hour and a great menu. Fun/Casual option for dinner and drinks.

Manta Restaurant

Manta is fabulous for a nicer dinner on property. They also have a brunch each morning that you can sign up for at the front desk (highly suggested). Beautiful views.

Hau Tree

This is the spot for your lunch and drinks all day! Very casual. You can put your name in around 11am each day for a lunch table. No dinner.

Number 3 Restaurant

This is the restaurant near the Golf area.

CanoeHouse

If you would like to adventure outside the resort, this is our favorite restaurant!

ULU Ocean Grill

Reservation required. Beautiful restaurant on the water at the Four Seasons.

Merriman's Big Island

Amazing farm to table steak house local to the island! A bit far (cabs available by calling the front desk).
