Kenneth and I have been friends since 10th grade! After high school we didn’t keep in touch, but when I moved back to Atlanta from Boston we would see each other randomly when our high school friend group got together and hung out. An event that stands out was a trip we took to the Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville, FL. We’re both HUGE college football fans- Kenneth is ALL about Alabama; I was born in Auburn and graduated from Florida, so it’s Orange and Blue for me ALL the way. The festivities and events in Jacksonville for Florida/Georgia are a football fan's dream! Although we weren’t dating at the time, it was a great weekend that reminded me of how much fun Kenneth and I have together. After the trip to Florida, it seemed like Kenneth and I would run into each other every couple months at birthday parties or events and it was always a great time, but we never hung out one on one. That changed one weekend when I was traveling for work and Kenneth called me. I picked up thinking it would be a quick convo about some upcoming get together he was hosting, but we ended up on the phone for hours talking about all kinds of random things (including his detailed critique of the start of Florida’s football season *insert eye roll*). As we were getting off the phone, he asked if I wanted to go to Hudson Grille the next weekend to watch a few games of football. I remember saying, “ sure, who’s coming,” and he said, “just me and you.” I was kind of surprised but intrigued, so I took him up on the offer. We went out the next weekend and spent the whole day hopping from one event to the next. It was so much fun and just felt so natural! The rest, as they say, is history. 5 years later, and we're still laughing, tackling new adventures, celebrating life and cuddling up on our couch watching football together whenever we can! Kenneth and I are blessed beyond measure to have found each other and we can’t wait to celebrate our very special love with our favorite people!
