If I'm not driving, how should I get to East Hampton?

Answer

The train and bus are both very common and affordable options! - The Long Island Rail Road travels across Long Island between Manhattan and Montauk, stopping in East Hampton. If you arrive at JFK, you can take the JFK AirTran to Jamaica train station (1 stop out of Manhattan) and hop on the LIRR from there. You can buy a ticket on your phone or at the station, and while you don't need a reservation be sure to check train times to plan accordingly. - Hampton Jitney is a shuttle bus that also runs between Manhattan and Montauk, stopping in East Hampton. You can pick up the Jitney from the Jamaica station as well. Unlike the LIRR, you should make a reservation for your seat in advance. There is WiFi on board.

Answer

Both the Welcome Party and the Reception are expected to be indoor-outdoor events. In the event of b** weather, both venues can accommodate the party indoors so you do not have to dress for rain or cold.
