During their first year of dating, Ross and Cat told everyone that they met through mutual friends. It isn't a lie because they did have mutual friends but truth be told, they never actually met through them. Their story begins like many others who are bored and single in college - a match made on Tinder. Ross messaged first with the line "Dad joke or pick up line?". Take your guess at which one Cat chose. As they began talking, they learned that though they may not have the same study major or be from the same region in NY, they did have a mutual love for $5 wing night and Nick Lanz. The first time they hung out was when Ross slyly mentioned that he was dog sitting for a friend and Cat couldn't resist coming to meet the dog. Thank you Buster for bringing them together! Another fun fact about their story is that Ross never officially asked Cat to be his girlfriend. One day he just began calling her his girlfriend and it stuck! They chose to mark their official dating anniversary as April 8th after celebrating Cat's birthday for several days in a row. Their story continued into being "5th years" at Binghamton University, where they got to live 5 minutes down the road from each other. They never took the proximity for granted, since they knew the start of "adulting" for them was going to mean long distance for their relationship. Yes, 80 miles is considered long when there's Long Island traffic involved. During their year of distance, Ross never once complained about having to transport his computer monitors to work remotely in Stormville. Since August 2023, they have lived together in Seaford, NY, with their cats, Josie and Reggie. They have filled this first home with memories made with friends and family, lots of love, and way too much cat fur. Just as Cat could have predicted, Ross began calling her his wife shortly after their move-in together. This time, he did make it official with a romantic proposal in Long Beach, NY, on the very last day of 2023!! Currently, they plan to move to Lindenhurst before 2025 with plans to continue to do what they love most. This includes game nights with their friends, going on outdoor adventures, spending time with their families, and eating late night snacks after telling each other no more. They are beyond excited to celebrate their growing love story with their loved ones who have made their journey so special!
