Best Man
Luke moved to Mike's neighborhood when they were about 10 years old and they quickly became best friends. Their passion for sports drew them together, as they were always rallying up everyone on the block for pickup games. The two were always together as kids, even when they weren't supposed to be. They would play sports all day, then stay up all night having Madden tournaments. As they got a little older, Mike would tell his parents he was going to Luke's and Luke would tell his Mom or Dad he was going to Mike's, but they'd really end up at random parties around town, or at Stockton when Mike was in college (sorry Mom). They grew up playing football, baseball and basketball together, but they just stick to the golf courses nowadays. The two still hangout constantly, watching football games, on the links, dinner with the women, or just to grab some drinks. Mike is very proud to be the Godfather of Luke's son, LJ. Luke has always been family and Mike is grateful to have him by his side on his wedding day.
Best Man
Mike's only brother and first best friend. The two had to stick together in a house with three older sisters. They were extremely competitive in everything they did, which led to some football/basketball games getting a little too physical and plenty of crushed Nintendo controllers. As much as they duked it out playing against each other, they were also great teammates and each others biggest fans (whether they like to admit it or not). They would always coach each other and give each other great tips and advice, whether that was in sports or everyday life. Although, Mike recently talked Jack into picking up golf, and after watching him play a few times and almost kill people with errant shots, it's safe to say that maybe that wasn't the best advice. Jack now protects our community as a police officer in our hometown. Mike was proud to be Jack's best man and is honored to be able to pass the role on to his brother.
Groomsman
Mike and Tom's friendship began on a Little League Baseball field, and they've been best friends ever since. They were constantly on the same sports teams growing up and were often in the same classes in school, as well. In their senior year of high school, their school days ended early at 12:30, and they spent nearly every afternoon grabbing lunch or just hanging out waiting for baseball practice to start. After high school, both attended Stockton University and took a lot of the same courses. This was a good idea in theory because they could help each other with their schoolwork, but more often than not, they would just procrastinate together doing anything besides what they actually needed to get done. Tom is notorious for not answering messages for days, weeks, or even months at times. So, Mike made sure to ask Tom over a year in advance to make sure he'd be standing by his side.
Groomsman
Mike and Darren also met on a baseball field, but not until high school. As a sophomore, Mike looked up to Darren as a senior and a leader of the team. Their friendship really took off when Mike started working at Skippers Seafood, where Darren had already worked for years. They spent their summers together working crazy hours, but spent just as many hours partying in his parents garage or going to various bars. Darren also grew up racing dirt bikes. He and his father wanted to teach Mike how to ride, but we'll just make this quick and say Mike won't be getting on another dirt bike any time soon. Darren was eventually able to buy Skippers and Mike is lucky to have a best friend as a boss. The two still hang out constantly and Mike and Christina like to spoil Darren's daughter, Alana, by always adding to her massive collection of stuffed animals.
Groomsman
Mike and Steve met on the football field in high school. Steve, a senior captain and a year older, was a great mentor to Mike. Playing safety, Mike always joked that he got a front row seat to all the bone crushing tackles that Steve (linebacker) made. Mike, Steve and a few other players went to Rita's a few days before our first game. We ended up winning big, so this quickly became a weekly ritual. They only played football together that one season, but their friendship stayed strong afterwards regardless. The two spent more time then they probably should have in Atlantic City playing blackjack and would always talk over which sports teams they liked most that day/week. Steve's career took him to London, where he has been thriving for the past 5 years. Despite the distance, Mike and Steve still stay in touch often and get together whenever Steve is able to make it back to Jersey.
Groomsman/Officiant
Dustin is the oldest of Christina's three brothers, and also Christina's Godfather. Dustin lives in town, so Mike and Christina get to spend plenty of time together. They often all get together at Christina's parents house, where they take turns cooking dinner for everyone, or take the boat out on the bay, or just hang out and have a few drinks at the bar downstairs. Dustin has two daughters, Grace and Lily, who Mike and Christina enjoy playing various board/card games with and bring to arcades. I can't say they're cheating, but somehow they always win! Mike and Christina are honored to have Dustin as their officiant, and Mike is excited to call Dustin his brother!
Groomsman
Shaun is the second of three brothers in the Caruso family. The whole family looks forward to pizza night when Shaun comes home from Weehawken. His homemade pizza sauce is phenomenal and his nieces always ask him if he's going to open his own pizza shop someday. Mike and Shaun bond over sports, as both are big football fans and Yankees fans. Shaun has recently been claiming to be a Bills fan, despite being a Giants fan his whole life. Seems pretty convenient to me now that the Bills are a powerhouse, but what do I know. Mike and Shaun also like trying different craft beers and hot sauces, and often recommend different IPAs for each other. Mike and Christina like to visit Shaun, where they can all go out in Hoboken or NYC. Mike is grateful to have Shaun by his side and to have another brother.
Groomsman
Scott is the youngest of Christina's three older brothers and is the unofficial golden child of the family. Christina will try to argue that she's the golden child, but don't listen to her. Scott is living his best life out in Newport Beach, California with his black lab named Midnight. Despite being on the other side of the country, Scott finds a way to make it home to Jersey a couple times a year. Mike and Christina keep telling him he needs to make the cross country drive, though, that way Midnight can meet Griffey and their parents dog, Wrangler. Scott is the only other person besides Christina that drives the family boat, so whenever he is home in the summer, they're all sure to get together and go for a ride. Scott is also a huge Yankees fan, and Mike and Christina were actually with Scott in California when Aaron Judge hit his record setting 62nd home run. Mike can't wait to have Scott by his side and call him his brother!
Junior Bridesmaid
Grace is Christina's oldest niece and sister to Lily. Christina also has the privilege of being Grace's Godmother! Grace takes after her Auntie Neen a lot! She has mastered her sassy Caruso attitude and loves learning tiktok dances with her! Now that Grace is almost 12 years old, she is becoming such a teenager! These ladies bond over fashion, hair, and makeup all the time! Grace's favorite things to do are annoy her Uncle Shaun, talk to her friends on snapchat, and go to the arcade with Christina and Mike! It's safe to say Auntie Neen and Uncle Mike have spent way too much money on the claw machine! Christina is very honored to have her niece stand by her side on her big day!
Junior Bridesmaid
Lily is Christina's younger niece and Grace's sister. Lily is the queen of board games and Christina and Mike are always losing to her! *wink, wink* Whenever they are together, Lily is always begging her Auntie Neen to try out new hairstyles on her. Christina has become Lily's personal hair stylist! Lily also loves the arcade just as much as her sister does! Fantasy Island has definitely made out well, since Christina and Mike can't say no when Lily asks them to go! Lily loves to draw, go crabbing on the docks, and build the most intricate lego sets they have! Christina is thrilled to have Lily standing by her side on her big day!
Ring Bearer
Briggs is Mike's nephew and his sister Kacey is his mom. Although Briggs live in Georgia, Mike and Christina still love to watch him grow! Whether its through facetime, social media, or family get togethers, Briggs is always the life of the party! Briggs is 2 years old and lately he has been obsessed with trucks and school busses. Mike and Christina are very excited to have Briggs be apart of their big day!
