What is the dress code?

Our celebration will be Black Tie, and we can’t wait to see everyone dressed to the nines ✨ For women, we encourage elegant floor-length gowns, and for men, tuxedos or a sharp black suit are perfect. Where is the hotel?

Our celebration will take place at the elegant Hotel DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware, where the cocktail hour, reception, and after-party will all be held! For all the details on travel, directions, and our wedding room block, please visit the Travel tab on our website.

Is valet parking available at the hotel?

Answer

Yes! Valet parking will be available for a fee at Hotel DuPont for your convenience. Simply pull up to the entrance, and the valet staff will take care of your car so you can step straight into the celebration.

Where will the ceremony be held?

The wedding ceremony will take place at St. John the Beloved Church in Wilmington, Delaware: 907 Milltown Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808 There is a large, complimentary parking lot available for guests when you arrive!

How will guests travel to and from the ceremony?

Answer

While transportation won’t be provided between Hotel DuPont and St. John the Beloved Church, the two locations are just a 15–25 minute drive, depending on traffic. Guests are welcome to drive themselves or hop in an Uber/Lyft, making it quick and easy to get from the ceremony to the celebration. Think of it as a little scenic detour before the fun really begins!

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 PM at St. John the Beloved Church in Wilmington, Delaware. Please arrive 30 minutes early to allow time to park and get seated before the celebration begins. We can’t wait to share this special moment with you!

What should I do in between the ceremony and the cocktail hour?

Answer

After returning from St. John the Beloved Church, feel free to freshen up in your room or take a moment to relax. We also highly recommend stopping by one of the hotel’s beautiful bars, like the Green Room Bar & Lounge or the Lobby Bar, to enjoy a drink and unwind before the festivities begin!

What time does cocktail hour start?

Cocktail hour will begin at 5:00 PM in the Du Barry Room, located near the Gold Ballroom at Hotel DuPont. Enjoy delicious cocktails, mingle with fellow guests, and spend some special time with the bride and groom before the reception festivities begin!

Can I bring a guest?

We’re so excited to celebrate this special day with you! Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests who were formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you so much for understanding, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

Are children invited?

This will be an adult-only celebration. Unless your child is specifically listed on your invitation, we kindly ask that the event be enjoyed by adults only. We hope you’ll take this as a chance to relax, dress up, and enjoy a special evening just for yourselves!

Is there an after-party?

Answer

Yes! The after-party will take place in the Christiana Room and starts at 10:00 PM. We encourage guests to change into comfy clothes and keep the celebration going with dancing, laughter, and late-night fun. Let’s keep the party alive and make memories that last all night!
