We met on our first day of Freshman year at USC. We lived on the same floor of our freshman dorm, Birnkrant Hall. We bonded over Disney, USC football, family and exploring LA together and started dating during the spring of our sophomore year!

Riley and Carlos have spent a lot of time in Orange County together, getting to know Carlos' family and Carlos showing Riley his favorite spots from home. COVID times meant they had limited ability to leave home, but Carlos found a way to make their proposal so special. He planned a surprise date to Salt Creek, his favorite beach, for a sunset picnic. After dinner as the sun was setting Carlos told Riley how much he loves her and that no matter where life or residency took them, they'd be together and each other's family. Obviously Riley said yes and was so excited she grabbed the ring out of the box before he could even put it on her finger!
