Take a look at where our love began! We both attended school here all four years. This campus is worth checking out. It makes a great first drive by and then continuing onto the famous Ocean Drive route. You'll even pass Jay Leno's Mansion.
The walk runs 3.5 miles and about two-thirds of the walk is in easy walking condition. The walk starts at the western end of Easton's or First Beach at Memorial Blvd. and runs south with major exits at Narragansett Ave., Webster St., Sheppard Ave., Ruggles Ave., Marine Ave., Ledge Rd., and ends at Bellevue Ave. at the east end of Bailey's Beach locally referred to as Reject's Beach.
Walk the docks and view a spectacular display of shiny new sailboats and powerboats, some making their first-ever debut in the United States. Tickets required but can purchased at the gates.
Call to book ahead! You can create your own ornaments, vases, paperweights, etc. This is not an all-day event. Ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Recommend Ocean Drive tour!
Newport is home to various mansions and offers tours throughout them. The Breakers mansion was home to the Vanderbilt family. Caila and Brendan lived right next to this mansion their freshmen year of college. Also check out Marble House and Rose Cliff. The gilded age was filmed in Newport and in some of the mansions.
Highly recommend trying oysters while you're in town!
Caila has worked here since her sophomore year of college! All time favorite. Call ahead for large parties.
O'Brien's is a staple of Newport. Casual spot for lunch or to grab a Mudslide. Limited parking is available in the back. Outdoor patio and indoor options.
Newport polo game on September 13th if you’re staying in town. Worth the experience.
