Cole and Rachel attended the Master of Public Health graduate program together at Grand Valley State University, however, they didn’t have a class together until the second semester. Rachel sat in the front row while Cole sat in the back. During that semester, Cole and Rachel both applied for the same internship at MDHHS. Rachel was in the lobby, awaiting her interview, when Cole came walking out to leave. He did a double take when he saw her, then introduced himself. They were both thinking “I hope you bomb your interview.” Luckily, they were both hired.
