Don't fret - we've booked a hotel block at the Courtyard Marriott in Westbury (about a half hour from the venue and it's near a lot of restaurants and shopping locales). The address can be found on your invitation - 1800 Privado Road, Westbury, NY 11590. You can reserve your room using the link below: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1682342254473&key=GRP&app=resvlink The last day to book is July 18th - after that, any remaining rooms will be released back to the public. If all of the rooms get booked and someone needs another, they will be able to get another room for you.
Yes! We will be hosting brunch at the same hotel from 9am-12pm on the day after the wedding, Monday, August 21st. We hope to see you there!
We have chosen to have both the ceremony and reception at Soundview Caterers in Bayville, NY. The site can hold up to 250 (although we are inviting around 140 so there should be plenty of space), as well as gorgeous scenery for the ceremony itself. Soundview Caterers 45 Bayville Avenue Bayville, NY 11709 https://www.soundviewcaterers.com/
We have chosen Soundview Caterers because it is a beautiful water-side venue with a ceremony space less than 50 feet from the Long Island Sound. The venue has a policy of hosting only one event per day which will afford us some extra perks - we are currently hoping to have an outdoor ceremony, but we will assess the weather on the morning of and make the final decision then (they will have no problem moving the ceremony setup to their indoor location). Rest assured, we aim to maintain a healthy balance of scenery and comfort!
We have decided to not have explicitly Kosher food at our wedding. However, if you have any dietary concerns such as requiring a Kosher meal or any food allergies, please let us know right away and we can pass that on to our wedding coordinator who can notify the caterer. Please bear in mind there will be vegetarian food options available both during the cocktail hour and during the dinner. Additionally, our chef informed us that all meals will be cooked to order - if you want something with less or no salt, for example, just let your waiter know!
While a lot of us are tired of having to deal with masks, especially during the warm summer months such as August, there are still situations where it's not a bad idea. Unfortunately, the mother of the bride has a compromised immune system due to being an organ transplant recipient and so it is very likely you will see her wearing a mask. Masks are optional and at your discretion. We will ensure that we are in compliance with any New York state guidelines.
