Marcus and Kayla attended Middle Creek High School and met in 2010. Kayla remembers Marcus always saying hi to her in chorus class, but as a Senior, she wasn't paying attention to another boy in her class. Kayla would go home and tell her mom "there's this kid who says hi to me every day but I don't know who he is". Little did she know, this 'kid' would become the man of her dreams and her future husband. During a choral rehearsal, Kayla went to the back of the auditorium and sat next to Marcus. They exchanged numbers and began texting from that day forward. The two were close friends for about 2 months before Marcus asked Kayla to be his girlfriend. She immediately said yes and fell in love with him not long after that. At 15 years old, it may be hard to know who you are going to marry, but after spending only a few months with Kayla, Marcus knew that she was the one. From December 13, 2010 until now, these two have learned to love each other in ways that they never thought possible. Marcus is the most fun-loving and dedicated man that Kayla could not imagine her life without. Marcus knows what to say at the right moments and is always there to keep her level-headed when she gets too worked up. They compliment each other well because they have opposite personalities. The opposite personalities have nothing on all the things that they have in common. Their love of sports is one thing that brings them the closest. Marcus and Kayla have experienced so many life changing memories together that most couples cannot say they have. This ranges from both high school and college graduations, fraternity and sorority events, trips, moving to a new city, raising two beautiful dogs, and so much more.
