I don't remember the exact date, but we met in Ms. York's 9th grade English class. He sat in the row beside me. I also don't remember exactly how we started talking, but it may have been the fact that we both had camo sneakers on. 😂

We were on a little weekend getaway to one of our favorite places, Gatlinburg, TN. He didn't plan to propose that weekend, but we all had suspicions that he might. On our way to our favorite restaurant, Rachel texted him asking if he was around anyone. He said I was the only one with him, then he hid his screen so I was assuming they might be talking about a proposal. Once we got to the restaurant, Ethan says, "You want to know what she wanted? She was asking if I was proposing this weekend." To which I responded, "Oh. Does that mean you're not?" Obviously, I was bummed. We had a nice supper and went on back to the hotel room. As I'm taking off my shoes, he hugs me and brushes my hair back and starts saying all these sweet things to me. I think he's just being sweet since I was bummed that he wasn't proposing, but instead he says, "Screw it." He tells me he didn't bring the ring, then he gets down on one knee and makes a little speech. At this point both of us are crying. He ends the speech with, "Can you say yes already so I can stop being nervous?" I say yes, we kiss, we're both still crying. He apologizes because he wanted it to be perfect, but it was perfect.
