We met at a Granger Smith concert at the Jefferson Theatre in Charlottesville, Virginia in October of 2015, but our story didn't truly start until the following summer! After months of randomly running into each other around town, we finally went on our first date. On June 22, exactly 8 months after we first met, Korey took me to the top of a mountain to watch the sunset, listen to music, and drink some wine - the rest, as they say, was history!

As most of you know, I (Brittney) am in nursing school, and last summer I went to Rwanda for 5 weeks to complete a research grant, while I was in Rwanda, Korey was busy planning the perfect engagement! On August 24th we met up with two of my best friends, Alli & Alexis, at King Family Vineyard. After a couple bottles of wine the Alli & Alexis asked Korey to take some pictures of the three of us together "since we never get to see each other." When Korey and I had our turn to take pictures he got down on one knee & asked me to be his wife!! After soaking in the moment, we drove back to Charlottesville and Korey had yet another surprise for me! He planned a post-engagement party with all of our closest friends & our parents at The Local! It truly is one of our best memories!
