Travel Note

IMPORTANT Safety Note

We are so excited to have you come and visit the place we love and call home. But with living in a big city, comes a higher proportion of crime. While in SF or Oakland, please NEVER LEAVE ANYTHING VALUABLE IN YOUR CAR, visible or not. Car break-ins happen all too often here, even for things as small as a car cell phone charger. There will be a parking lot attendant to keep watch during the wedding ceremony/reception so no need to worry while you're celebrating with us!

Flight

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

SFO is the main Bay Area airport with the most direct flights coming in. It is directly accessible by BART (the Bay Area subway system) which will take you anywhere from Daly City, to San Francisco, all the way to Oakland and the East Bay. Oakland International Airport (OAK) is another good option. It is smaller and usually more expensive to fly into but also directly accessible by BART (the subway system). Great if you are planning to get a hotel in Oakland.

Travel Note

Parking

Parking in SF is complicated. While looking for hotels, remember to check if they have a parking lot available. If not, ask what their street parking situation is.. Many places are 2 hour parking on weekdays or may be metered on Saturdays. Always read all signs to avoid parking tickets! Parking police are always out in full force.

Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Airport/Oyster Point Waterfront

There are rooms available Friday-Sunday and around $115/night. We did not block out a group of rooms, but we believe you'll be able to find one that works for you!

House Or Rental

Air BnB

Air BnB is a great place to find spaces to rent for a night or two. You can stay in a home or apartment to get a more authentic feel of San Francisco! Each neighborhood in SF has it's own unique culture. Let us know if you have any questions or want recommendations!
