We fell in love over FaceTime. Traditional? No. Worth it? Absolutely. Sometimes love calls to you when it doesn't make sense, like when the guy lives in the Caribbean and the girl lives in Southwestern Virginia. But after countless hours of FaceTime dates, countless hours of laughter and movie-watching and learning every detail we could possibly learn long distance, we fell in love. When Brandon finally flew to Virginia for a visit, and we finally met for the first time, it was only confirmed. We were meant to last.
With being long distance for the vast majority of our relationship, it was hard to find a place that felt like "our" home. It was always Brandon's, or Miranda's, or a Red Roof Inn in D.C. When we finally moved to Buffalo, it felt like a breath of fresh air, and we fell in love with our apartment while falling even more deeply in love with each other. On November 1st, 2019, Brandon filled our living room, the home we had made together, with candles and rose petals and waited for me to get home from work. When I did, he popped a knee (after I couldn't grasp what was happening and had to be guided to be in front of the camera), and the rest is history! Kind of. Really, the rest is wedding planning, but we're happy either way. We can't wait to celebrate with you all and show you the place we call home. See you in Buffalo!
