We met in the summer of 2019 at Ypsilanti's annual Beer Fest. She was not a beer drinker, but she was there to say goodbye to a friend who was moving out of state. We shared mutual friends but never crossed paths until that day. A lot of different friends like to claim that they are the ones to formally introduce us, which will probably make for some fun speeches the night of the wedding! After a night of hanging out, we began to text and never stopped.
We were up north on a family vacation in 2020. He woke up super early one morning and was gone for a while. She was wondering why she wasn't invited to the morning hang out but just went on with the day. All throughout the day he was acting super weird and she thought he was trying to find a way to break up with her while on this family vacation. She was trying to figure out how she was going to get home after being dumped. Little did she know he was super super nervous trying to figure out when to propose. We were driving down the coast of Lake Michigan when we found a spot to pull over. She turned around at one point and he was there on one knee. She thought it was a joke at first and had to look at the ring to make sure. Everything made sense after that and she couldn't of asked for a better proposal or person to spend the rest of their lives together.
