Our Story

Wedding Notes: Mike and Erin both took a chance on finding love when they joined Bumble in 2022. And, as fate would have it, they initially swiped left on each other. Erin wasn’t sure she wanted to date another Mike, but she couldn’t resist his profile pictures or his irresistible combination of charm, intellect, and humor. Mike wasn’t sure he wanted to date someone from the West Metro, but he couldn’t resist Erin’s beautiful smile, matching sense of humor, and kind nature. Countless Bumble messages soon turned into even more text messages. Eventually, they decided it was time to meet in person, choosing AMA Sushi in Edina—halfway between their two homes. Conversation and wine flowed, and neither was ready for the evening to end. So, naturally, dinner was followed by an after-date at Dave & Buster’s. It didn’t take long for Mike and Erin to realize just how much they had in common. Both are deeply devoted to their children and families. Both grew up in St. Paul, not far from one another, and both share the same sense of humor and a love for many of the same things: Minnesota sporting events, movies, theater, concerts, travel, history, people-watching (especially at airports, restaurants, and at least once a year at the MN State Fair), and great food (“we both love soup” - and funny movie quotes - bonus points if you know what movie that quote is from ; ) More importantly, they share the same way of looking at the world. They value family, cherish their friendships, and believe in treating others with kindness and generosity. Blending families is never easy, but Mike and Erin couldn’t have asked for more amazing children. Together, Leo (22), Stella (20), Iris (19), Cullen (15), Lily (14) and Kennedy (12)—along with Mike and Erin—make up their own very special Brady Bunch. Now, they are making their relationship official and committing to a lifetime together. They look forward to continuing to build a life and a family together, nurturing the relationships between their families and creating a legacy that will extend to future generations of their very own Brady Bunch. They are deeply grateful for the love, friendship, and support they have received from their families and friends. As they make this commitment and celebrate this union, they feel incredibly fortunate to have so many wonderful people cheering them on and sharing in their happiness.
