Not for the faint of heart - lots of scrambling, jumping over gaps, running through brush that may be infested with rattlesnakes. We had an absolute blast doing this. If you're feeling adventurous, this is a great spot to enjoy the boulder fields of JT. Experience this 2.6-mile out-and-back trail. Considered a *challenging* route.
Tight squeezes. Start on the Cap Rock trail (which is also very cool) and look out for the "hall of horrors" - this can be tricky to find as it is not clearly marked, so feel free to ask us for tips! Requires some climbing in and climbing out - leave grandma at home.
The giant palms are close to the start of the hike - we didn't do the whole loop, but seeing these weird palm trees was worth it to us. 3.1 mile out-and-back trail. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 33 min to complete.
