Things To Do

Long Beach, also known as The City by The Sea, prides itself on supporting local. Here's some of what our city has to offer!

Long Beach Boardwalk

Boardwalk, Long Beach, NY 11561

Stroll, run or bike the Long Beach boardwalk, if you're lucky, you might just see dolphins or a whale! We spend a lot of time on the boardwalk with Matt popping wheelies and Brittney taking up half the bike lane with her cool tricycle. After Matt helps push Brittney down the boardwalk, we usually treat ourselves to ice pops at Shakes & Shuckers (the tiki hut on the east end of the boards) or froyo at Marvel.

It wouldn't be a Long Island trip if you didn't get a bagel

We recommend Beach Bagel or LB Sandwich Co. if you're staying in the west end or Max Bialystock if you're staying in the center of town or the east end.

Wellness before the mayhem

Long Beach is known as one of the healthiest cities! Visit Elemental Wellness for the salt cave or sauna, Meadow & Bark for natural luxury skincare, Bob's Natural Foods for a wildfire shot and pop into morning yoga at the Allegria rooftop or any of the local studios.

He was a skater boy

1 West Bay Drive, Long Beach, NY 11561

Self explanatory for the BMX and skate bros. Just don't get hurt before the wedding!

Long Beach Fall Festival

1 West Chester Street, Long Beach, NY 11561

A family friendly event in our plaza. If you see the bride in the pumpkin bounce house, no you didn't.

a non-exhaustive list of places to eat from east to west

Clam Bar, Buoy Bar, JA Heneghan's, Bungalow, LB Social, Gino's, Yummy Yummy, Nagahama, Riptides, Marvel (ice cream), Five Ocean, Sorrentos, Lost at Sea, Grotta, Blacksmith Bread, Fermento, Gio's, Beginnings. Hit Baked by the Ocean for spunky desserts. If you're hungry late night, see if the red light is on at Blackdoor Burger or grab a slice at West End Pizza.

Sunset lovers

The first time Brittney & Matt watched a sunset together in Long Beach they witnessed a wedding pop up in front of them. Was that the proverbial bouquet toss? Perhaps. Anywho, we highly recommend you catch a beach sunset. Bring pizza, a yeti and a blanket.

Volleyball or Surf

Bring a net and ball--find the beach stakes. Bring your board and wetsuit, avoid sharks and the jetties.

Local gear

You obviously need a Long Beach souvenir. Head to Long Beach Surf Shop, UnsOund Surf, Moku Surf or The Codfish Cowboy. We love it when we all have matching sweatshirts.

nightlife

Head to Nolan's or Shine's (the oldest bar in LB) for an authentic dive bar scene. Bright Eye for the brewery fans. Bar hop through the west end where you can usually find live music, DJs and dancing at The Jetty, The Inn, Minnesota's or Cabana! Head to The Merrow, 5 Ocean late night tiki lounge, Seven or Allegria for the refined palate.

If you love it so much you want to live here too

Brittney's a local real estate attorney--give her a call!
