Bridesmaid
Life long friendship that began at 4 years old. Candace was my devoted science fair partner who helped us win every year. We demonstrated our well rounded personalities by enrolling in a cake decorating class where we were younger than everyone else by a solid 30-40 years. We also started/taught a drama class for an urban youth outreach. Looking back, we were definitely the students. Our most riveting extracurricular activity is what paid off. We voluntarily enrolled in a weeknight SAT prep course. She ended up scoring perfectly on the reading/verbal section. She now uses these talents to write movie scripts and went to NYU for film.

Kindergarten is where dreams are made. Another life long friendship made at 4 years old. She taught me loyalty, adventure, and the skill of properly pulling pranks at an early age. She is actually the one who has always been Dale's biggest fan and supporter throughout this journey. She is also the person I can thank for capturing our candid proposal pictures that night and making sure I made it home on time for my surprise! Olivia is currently a fashion blogger where she has a platform to demonstrate her creativity that she learned at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Bridesmaid
We met in 6th grade and became instant best friends. Later we learned why- we share the same birthday as well as the same Meyers-Brigg personality. Our personality showed early on when we decided to start and host a middle school talent show. Our favorite thing to do is indulge in scary movies. She helped me learn something about myself. Turns out, I am highly allergic to cats. Cassia had two. This discovery just so happened to be the night of one of our scary movie indulgences. Cassia is now a successful attorney, and despite our matching personalities, we have somehow managed to never have a disagreement.

We met our intern year of residency. We actually met before the first day of work because random people told us we needed to- because they just knew we would be best friends, as would our matching goldendoodles. Well, they were right! It was an instant friendship. We look nothing alike, nor do we sound alike. She is my Louisiana girl with a thick southern accent. Yet, people somehow keep confusing us to this day. Lauren in an anesthesiologist who has also specialized in interventional pain medicine like myself. She has known Dale and I from the very beginning.
Groomsman
Thomas is my oldest friend. We met sometime during elementary school, went to the same high school and college and have been close friends ever since. Our stories are many and go back a long time. Hang around us long enough and you're bound to hear a few. He is a talented musician and guitar player and he is currently working in Charlotte NC as a music producer.
Groomsman
David and I met early on at UNC but didn't become close friends until a graduation trip to Costa Rica. It was there, sleeping in dog houses at the cheapest hostels we could find, that our bond really formed. David is a currently the owner and CEO of company that invented a device to stop thumb sucking in children. Ask him about it!
Groomsman
Ali is my best friend from medical school. Funny and witty he made the stress of pathology just a little more bearable. Ali is one the reasons I chose to go into anesthesiology and he has been a confidant through every step of training. He is currently practicing cardiothoracic anesthesia at West Virginia University.
Groomsman
Daniel and I met during our intern year of residency and truth be told, he provided a lot of the encouragement for me to pursue Bonita in the first place! He was always a champion of our relationship and I think he enjoyed playing matchmaker. A true gentleman, Daniel takes care of his friends like no other. He is currently practicing interventional pain medicine in Augusta, Georgia.
Flower Girl
These are my two youngest nieces who are full of spunk and joy. Ella is 9. Harper is 5. Ella is a seasoned flower girl who has made us all promise this would be her final performance and then she is retiring.
