January 18, 2020 - Our First Date The choice was Burgers & Beers or Pizza and Wine, choosing the latter. Nicole was impressed that Bogdan set up the date, time, and reservation (ladies, we all love this green flag) at Eatlay. Nicole, nervous coming from work beforehand, ended up getting out early. Bogdan was willing to meet sooner, so they met at a bar around the corner, where glasses of wine were sipped to break the ice. Before they knew it, they were devouring pizza and finished a whole bottle of red after profound conversations. Afterwards, the two took a walk around the Flatiron Building to burn off the carbs, and stumbled upon a bar to continue to night. The night continued with Nicole learning what a pickleback was, resulting in a remarkable nightcap. However, things happen for reasons, and the conversations dwindled away. May 2021 - The Recommencement After some thinking about the past year, Nicole slid back into the DM's of Bogdan in an amiable demeanor. The two decided to reconnect by exploring DUMBO on a nice spring day. From here, the rest was history. The two always say: although it didn't make sense at the time, they were meant to go on their fated break to reconvene stronger. September 4, 2021 - The Official Date Labor day weekend was spent at the beach, filled with friends and BBQs. After strolling the Long Beach Boardwalk, the two sat down, where Bogdan worked up the courage to ask to go steady. Nicole always joked that she was a traditional kind of girl, so she was ecstatic to make things official. We guess we really do like long walks at the beach... October 19, 2025 - The Yes Day! The two decided it was time for a date night after weeks of busy schedules. Bogdan thought this was the perfect time to pop the question, as he was taking a short time off in between jobs. The two ventured to the Museum of Natural History where they roamed the floors of ancient dinosaurs and saw the sites of the prominent blue whale. The next stop, was a walk to Belvedere Castle in Central Park. But first, a pit stop to soak in the views at Turtle Pond. The weather, perfect. Flash mob dancers in the distance.
