Doing the dang thing.

Hi Ya'll, Michaela here to tell you our story! To start, we have known each other for what feels like forever, as early as both of us can remember. We've gone to the same elementary, middle and high school. However, it all started with Blake's dad, Paul, coaching my sister, Amanda, in soccer. My dad, Mike, always brought me along to the private goalie lessons at Tanglewood, and Paul always brought along Blake and Brooke (I don't know how both mothers managed this, haha). We all played together on the other side of the soccer field (yes, back then I still had no athletic ability). Blake and Brooke were both good at sports while I attempted to keep up. Getting back to our story, we have been best friends since we both can remember, growing up in the same small town, South Glens Falls. We even did the whole middle school dating thing that all good friends do at that age. Ironically, we didn't officially start dating until our senior year of college when we decided that being two best friends for all those years laid a good foundation for a real relationship (both knowing we had feelings for each other), the rest was history. As soon as we started dating we both knew we had found the one. EVERYONE always says, including Blake, they always knew we'd end up together but I truly had no idea. Man, do I feel lucky though to have finally realized it (although maybe I knew a little bit). Since starting to date we've enjoyed time with our families and friends, we've enjoyed many craft beers and breweries in several different locations, we’ve settled in to our first place together (soon to be on the hunt for a home), we've made it through a pandemic and quarantine (still going strong!), we got engaged during said pandemic and quarantine (it was the most perfect and thoughtful proposal), and have been planning our dream wedding! We are so ready for this next season of our lives and can not wait to celebrate our big day with all of you, see you on the dance floor! Lots of Love, Michaela & Blake
