The Wedding Website of Amy Hussey and Charles Black
For those visiting for the first time, Manchester Center is a five minute drive from the Kimpton Taconic Hotel. The town includes a number of restaurants and shopping outlets, as well as the American Museum of Fly Fishing and the Southern Vermont Arts Center. If you're looking for outdoor activities, nearby Equinox Pond and Emerald Lake State Park include nature trails and swimming. Kayaking and tubing trips can be reserved on the nearby Battenkill River. Fly fishing can be arranged through the Orvis Fishing School. Two local farms offer tours to meet the animals and sample fresh made cheese. If you're looking to travel farther out of the area, Woodstock, VT is the quintessential Vermont town with antique shops and fun window shopping. Nearby is the Simon Pearce store that offers handcrafted glass designs and glassblowing demonstrations. The store and restaurant sit over a waterfall on the Ottauquechee River.
