While we may be taking these vows, we prefer all of our guests stay in very good health. As everyone knows, the coronavirus has hit the United States, and this has implications for both travel and large gatherings (such as a wedding). The CDC has advised against holding gatherings of 50 or more people. In order to comply with this guidance and keep our guests safe, we have decided to postpone the wedding until September 19, 2020. By now, hopefully all of you have received an email to that effect. We want to make this postponement as easy as possible for our guests, but you will need to do a few things: - If you have already RSVP'd, you can go in and change your RSVP on this website. If your RSVP will remain the same given the new date, no need to update it. - For those of you who booked in the room blocks at the Holiday Inn or the Double Tree, we have blocks for the new weekend. If you booked at the Holiday Inn, your rooms are already cancelled. You will need to rebook. If you booked at the Double Tree, you need to cancel your current reservations and rebook. While we are hopeful that things will calm down significantly by September, please keep in mind the following guidance: - If you are in a high risk group – have heart disease, diabetes, or lung disease – please take extra care in making your decision to travel to the wedding. We will totally understand anyone’s decision to sit this event out. The wedding should certainly not bring anyone stress (except for those of us who have been made to suffer through the planning process.) - If you have RSVPed yes but are feeling sick in the days leading up to the wedding, please sit the event out and just let us know. You should know this is always an option, but it’s an extra encouraged option under these circumstances. - And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wash those hands.
