We met rather young, between 13-14 years old. Our first encounter with each other was becoming bandmates while playing the iconic game of "Rockband2". I was lead singer & guitarist; he was the drummer. I wish I remembered the bad ass song we played, but I know it ended with my guitar swinging in the air because I nailed my solo, and his drumsticks flared up in the air as we completed our song. Even at such a young age, our energies were aligned. Of course, as children our courtship didn’t last long, and we both naturally went our separate ways. Our paths crossed again many years later as we discovered we were neighbors. As faith would have it, we have been inseparable ever since. He prefers loud music; I like a nice podcast. He loves adrenaline and fast cars; I like to be still and take my time with things. However much we are indifferent, we feel like our souls are connected in a much deeper-rooted core grounding spiritual way. As the years go by, settling into our 13th year together, we are so lucky and blessed and truly rich in the overflow of love and protection we gave ourselves. It was always meant to be, it was set by destiny.
