There are many activities available on the property at Trapp Family Lodge, including tennis, sitting by the pool, and exploring the hiking and biking trails. Closer to August 2023, check out the Activity Calendar for more details on formal activities like guided hikes, yoga classes, and tours to meet the long haired cows!
Check out the hiking at Stowe Mountain Resort - hop on the Long Trail to climb up Mt. Mansfield and experience views of Lake Champlain, the White Mountains and the Adirondaks. Stowe Mountain Resort also offers biking, gondola rides, and on-site restaurants.
Stowe’s village offers plenty of Vermont charm with a number of shops featuring local crafts, brews, and cheeses. While strolling main street, pop into Shaw's General Store to check out the oldest shop in Stowe, Laughing Moon Chocolates for some delectable treats, Stowe Mercantile for crafts and delicious local preserves. To round out your town experience drop into the Public House for an afternoon libation. Grab a seat at their tasting bar to try a funky new local brew and local cheeses.
In addition to hikes at Trapp and at Stowe Mountain Resort, check out the hikes below and more in the link provided. Pinnacle Summit - A wonderful, moderately challenging hike that's about 3 miles total (out and back). Amazing panoramic views at the summit looking back at Mount Mansfield. Taylor Lodge - 3.5 miles, moderate hike that starts at the Mount Mansfield Trout Club. Sterling Pond - 2.5 miles, moderate hike that climbs a rock stair case to a pond that sits at the top of Spruce Peak.
