This photo and the topmost one were taken seconds after we got engaged. September 2020
This picture was taken on New Year 2019 at the Bostwana border, in between fieldwork, so our families could see who we were dating. It's our first picture as a couple.
This is the Bismark (one of Ben's ancestors, founder of modern Germany) monument. This is also a tourist shot that I took before he surprised me with the ring.
Our wedding bands are both matching rose gold. Ben's ring has an acacia wood center, like the trees that we climb after drongos in.
