The Father's Day round of golf was not as innocent as it seemed... On the 18th green, Amy's golfball was mysteriously replaced with a family heirloom containing a new-found treasure.

How it all began...

It was late August 2019. Amy had just moved to Philadelphia, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to find an apartment of her own, continue her education, and make a home in the city. Jack, a native Philadelphian, decided to move back from Connecticut to pursue his PhD in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania and be closer to his family. Up to this point, the storylines of Amy and Jack had little chance of overlapping. That is, until Amy's friend, Paul, reached out for a favor. "Ame, I really need help moving. Can you give me a hand?" On that late August day, Amy and Paul pulled up to his new home, a big old house on Baltimore Avenue filled with Paul's new roommates. It was a sweltering day, and in all honesty, Amy did not have much enthusiasm for the many boxes and bags that had to be carried from car to home, nor was she keen on having much human interaction. But something changed when Amy and Paul approached the porch - "Hi, I'm Jack, your new roommate! Do you guys need any help?" To which Amy gratefully replied, "Yes". Over the next several months, Amy would come to see Paul many times. On these occasions, Jack would come home from a late night in the lab, excuse himself for imposing on their conversation and head upstairs. Strangely enough, Jack would begin to forget more and more items downstairs, “Sorry I forgot a (fork, spoon, plate, napkin - you name it, he “forgot” it)”, but Amy never minded - she liked his company. With the encouragement of Jack’s roommates-turned-friends, Paul and Alex, Jack asked Amy on a date. It was set, February 22, 2020 at a now defunct restaurant in Old City. The two had endless conversation, smiles, and laughs and went from a bustling restaurant to a cozy fire-side seat in a quaint old bar. Nearly a week and half later, the world shut down in the face of unprecedented circumstances - and in the spirit of unprecedented circumstances, Amy moved in to live with Jack, Paul, Alex, and 3 other roommates (2 weeks after their first date). Jack’s room was small, but he was quick to make closet space for Amy’s clothes and belongings. Living with each other was a big step to take, but they have never looked back, and in fact, it only ignited their abundance of love for each other. Four years later, Amy and Jack are just as inseparable as their first day together, with an apartment of their own and the cutest little Calico cat - Kiwi. For these two, their first date has never ended.

For all the days along the way
