Portsmouth, NH is a 45 minute drive from the Holiday Inn in Salem, NH. We spent our fourth anniversary here, and frequently visit for day trips. We love to enjoy all of the bars and restaurants this coastal city has to offer!
Newburyport, MA
We celebrated Brad's 30th birthday in Newburyport. It has awesome food (especially seafood!) and bars along the water. If you're looking for a restaurant we would recommend: Black Cow, Brick & Ash, Sea level Oyster Bar, and Michael's Harborside. It is about 30 minutes from the Holiday Inn in Salem, NH. Plum Island
If you're looking for a nice September beach day we highly recommend Plum Island. This is our favorite beach because it gives us an "island feel" and reminds us of Anna Maria, FL where we got engaged.
603 Brewery & Beer Hall
603 Brewery is about a 15 minute drive from the Holiday Inn. This is where we celebrated Meg's 30th birthday! It's a great place to kick back and enjoy some refreshing beer and delicious pizza. They have a large outdoor patio where you can listen to some live music and enjoy a perfect September afternoon.
Tuscan Village
Tuscan Village is located 5 minutes from the Holiday Inn. It boasts a large outdoor area with plenty of adirondack chairs on the turf with fire pits and even a beach volleyball set up! They have a pop up Smuttynose Brewery and plenty of food options at the Tuscan Market.
