Colombia uses the Colombian Peso (COP). Current exchange rate is around $4,000COP per 1 US Dollar.
The easiest way to get Colombian pesos is using ATM or finding a place to exchange US dollars for Colombian pesos before traveling. To find an authorized place in Colombia to exchange cash, please ask in your hotel reception or contact our wedding planner, Silvia Zuniga.
Please remember to make sure your passport is not going to be expired or within 6 months of expiring by your planned travel dates. Depending on your nationality, please make sure you don't need a visa to go to Colombia.
- Depending on your bank, you may need to inform them you are leaving the country. - Depending on your phone carrier, you may need to add a temporary international plan. - It will be very helpful to bring or exchange Colombian pesos at the airport after your arrival. We recommend starting with $100-200 USD for taxis, street shopping, small vendors, etc. Most restaurants, bars and bigger shops accept credit cards. A currency converter app like GlobeConvertis helpful for quick price checks.
Please contact Diana to the email ventas@cartagenamagica.travel and she will help you organize activities around the city.
Please call our wedding planner Silvia Zuniga to the cellphone number (+57)3007910985, but you can always contact the bride and groom.
