We are getting married!!

Lisa’s perspective: We met through the online dating site, Bumble where woman make the first move sending out the first message. After looking at his profile & with him checking off my three main requirements: Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Mexican food lover & a totally cute profile picture with his dog. Even more peaking my interest when I sent the initial message to him that if he didn't mind me cursing like a sailor we should chat. When he responded back stating that he did not and clearly had a good sense of humor I was more intrigued. Our first date was at a bowling alley in the pouring rain which ended up ruining my hair that took forever to style but the date turned out fun, competitive between us with lots of laughter including a fun “get to know the other person” game with each frame. We had such an amazing time at the bowling alley that it was the first date in long time that I didn't want it to end so it led to a local Mexican restaurant to extend the evening further which ended with a first kiss in the parking lot. It hasn't ended since that rainy day in August. Brian's perspective: We first met on an online dating app, and I was immediately intrigued by her interests in dogs, football, and especially tacos! After texting for a few days, we finally met each other for our first date at a bowling alley. It suddenly started raining very heavily as we both pulled into the parking lot. I wanted to be a gentleman, so I walked up to her car with an umbrella and knocked on the window, only to scare the “you know what” out of her. She seemed impressed that I came with the umbrella, but proceeded to sprint inside the building, worried about her hair being messed up from the rain. I was very nervous with it being a first date, but she came up with the clever idea to use the bowling game as a way to get to know each other. Whoever won the frame got to ask the other person a question about themselves. I thought it was brilliant and ended up being a wonderful way to break the ice. We immediately clicked and spent the whole time laughing and joking… I had never had such a connection with someone like her. After bowling, we decided to keep the night going and went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner, where we eventually had our first kiss. Life after that has still always been about dogs, football, and tacos (not necessarily in that order!)

On the two year anniversary of our first date, we took a trip to West Virginia for a long weekend in a rustic cabin to enjoy scenery & see HARDY in concert at the WV state fair. The weekend was full of fishing, breathtaking meteor showers, mountain scenery, music and a proposal in a log cabin. As Lisa was in the bathroom getting ready for a great night of music, Brian was in the other room setting up his phone to film a proposal, and pacing back in forth nervously. Lisa left the bathroom and walked straight to the kitchen without looking towards Brian. She came out of the kitchen asking Brian “I know I just brushed my teeth, but do you want a shot of Skrewball before we go?” As Lisa came around the corner, she saw Brian on his knee getting ready to ask her the most important question of their lives. They don't remember much of the next few minutes, but they both cried and Lisa said YES. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you our family & friends. See you in October!
