A Match Made on Hinge (with a little bit of pasta) Ah, the modern-day love story—where it all began with a swipe. 2021. Hinge. Duke and Bayley matched, and like any millennial romance, we quickly moved to nightly FaceTime calls—even though Bayley was spending a month with family in Wisconsin. If that’s not commitment, we don’t know what is! Our first in-person date? Ravenna Park, a charming little spot that, unbeknownst to us at the time, would become the place we’d walk our dog, Beau, and celebrate our love. We had an amazing time, and by July 28th, we made it official. Cue the fireworks. The next year, we decided to level up our relationship and move in together. Our first home? A cozy little apartment in Capitol Hill where Duke's passion for cooking turned into an all-out love affair with the kitchen—and Bayley’s love for eating everything Duke made grew to legendary status. Seriously, if you haven't tried Duke’s cooking yet, you're missing out. Fast-forward six months and we were presented with an offer we couldn’t refuse: move into Bayley’s mom’s house just down the street from our beloved Ravenna Park. So, we packed up, settled in, and then, of course, adopted Beau—the cutest fur baby you’ll ever meet. Now, life’s even sweeter. Bayley works as an occupational therapist for the Edmonds School District, and Duke's taken his pasta skills to the next level as the pastaiolo (aka pasta magician) at Spinasse. No big deal, just making pasta from scratch and living the dream. Through it all, our relationship has been fueled by the three "G's": Good food, good friends, and good times. Over the past four years, we’ve had countless adventures, enjoyed weekly Sunday family dinners, laughed a lot, and, most importantly, experienced a never-ending supply of joy and love. So, here we are, ready to say "I do" with Beau by our side and a lifetime of memories ahead of us. Thanks for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
