Newport Mansions Preservation Society

Newport is the home to the most extravagant and historical mansions in the country. We highly recommend going on at least one tour, especially with the holiday decorations up! The Breakers and Rosecliff are our family favorites!

Brenton Point State Park

It might be chilly but it is worth the drive! Enjoy the vast ocean views throughout the drive and pullover to climb the rocks weather permitting :)

Cliff Walk

Pending the weather, this scenic walk below the mansions, overlooking First Beach and the ocean is a highlight trail of the area.

The Nitro Bar

My favorite coffee shop in town! They have two locations, this one and one on Thames Street. Great food and coffee.

Ryan Family Amusements

If you want a fun, lighthearted activity, I've been going to this arcade my whole life! It is in the heart of downtown and a fun little pit stop for arcade games.

The Black Pearl

The best clam chowder around! This historic restaurant is right in Bowen's Warf and one of the Ivory family favorites.

Gardiner House

Yup, this is the wedding venue! There is a studio bar located right off the lobby that has amazing cocktails and a great vibe. The hotel restaurant, Flora, is also unbelievable and a very nice dinner. Make a reservation, they fill up fast!

Castle Hill Inn

An elegant inn that has a 2 Michelin star restaurant, looking right into Newport Harbor. The dinner is nice yet expensive but you can also just go to have a nice drink. Pending the weather, you may be able to sit out on the lawn watching the boats come into the bay.
