Where is the ceremony and reception?

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be at The Gardiner House! 24 Lee's Wharf, Newport, RI 02840.

What should I wear?
Answer
Cocktail or formal attire is encouraged but please be comfortable! It is not black tie!

Where should I stay?
Answer
Newport has a variety of options that can fit any budget. Downtown would be the most central and would allow you to walk anywhere you may need to be. There are hotel options and room blocks listed in the Travel section of the website and Newport has great Airbnb/VRBO options as well!

What will the weather be like?
Answer
It is December in the northeast so it will be chilly. How chilly is the question - Newport can easily be 60 degrees and sunny or 30 degrees and snowing. Newport is also on the coast so there is a high chance of strong wind gusts. I would suggest checking the weather app before traveling to plan on what to pack! The ceremony and reception will be inside, avoiding all possible elements.

We politely request no children at the ceremony or reception unless specified on the invitation.

Can I arrive early?
Answer
Yes! There is a lovely cash bar located on the first floor of the hotel. Feel free to spend time there before and after the ceremony and reception!

Will there be onsite parking?
Answer
There are very limited parking spots available in the hotel lot and street parking could potentially be hard to find. We suggest using a ride sharing service to get to the venue.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

We will be providing dinner stations that have a variety of options for all dietary needs but if you are concerned please feel free to ask us any clarifying questions you may have.
