Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Allison Miller

Matron of Honor

Rachel met Allison and her sisters two doors down just two days after the Caldwell family moved to Texas 14 years ago. Being the closest in age out of the group since deemed "The Sisterhood", Allison and Rachel developed a special friendship that has carried them through high school, college, and beyond! Rachel takes credit for Allison meeting her future husband, Jonathan, through her homeschool circle of friends and Allison takes credit for Rachel's improved fashion and artistic choices over the years. They enjoy eating sushi, gardening, and getting their goofy men together for play dates on the PS4.

Michaela Hood

Maid of Honor

Rachel and Michaela met through mutual friends from WATCH Co-op in the 8th grade but didn't develop their close friendship until many years later in 2015. Both in college, both interested in international travels, and both living at home with their families while the rest of the world turned quickly they bonded instantly. An Enneagram 1 and 3, they are a dream team of efficiency and practicality and they don't mind showing it off through planning different hangouts, trips, and events with friends. They enjoy good food, late-night philosophy talks, and a kick-butt workout.

Kate Prater

Bridesmaid

Rachel met Kate and her sisters two doors down just two days after the Caldwell family moved to Texas 14 years ago. They bonded over their love of fantasy and classical literature as well as regency era films. Kate taught Rachel how to write a good story, dissect literature, and, most importantly, how to steep tea properly. You'll typically find them on their 5th cup of tea comparing the literary themes of Austen and Alcott, if not otherwise doing something absolutely ridiculous, like chasing the dog around the house making velociraptor noises or singing loudly on a hike in the park.

Georgia Prater

Bridesmaid

Rachel met Georgia and her sisters two doors down just two days after the Caldwell family moved to Texas 14 years ago. Georgia was the most reserved of the three sisters and Rachel wasn't sure how they would get along at first. Over a decade later and that idea is nothing but a good laugh! Georgia and Rachel now enjoy their coffee dates every month and their Hallmark Christmas movies every winter. Their mutual love of epic stories, dry humor, and quick wit drew them into a friendship full of quiet strength that has withstood every season of life.

Hayley Smiley

Bridesmaid

Hayley and Rachel met ten years ago when Hayley's family joined WATCH Co-op. Hayley was new and Rachel jumped at the chance to bring her into the community. They enjoyed working in the Theater program at WATCH and taking the stage together in musicals such as "Music Man" and "Annie". Their friendship has always included a shared love of dance and movement, resulting in many dance classes and hikes over the years. Most recently they tackled a tap class and, while neither of them are Gene Kelly, they had a fantastic amount of fun discovering something new together! Hayley lives in Abilene with her husband, Phillip.

Hannah Ewing

Bridesmaid

Hannah and Rachel met when they were thirteen years old when the Caldwells joined the homeschool community in Round Rock. The two drama queens hit it off and never looked back. Always describing themselves as opposite yet symbiotic forces, the two big personalities have seen their friendship as being much like Elphaba and Glinda's in "Wicked" or in Elinor and Marianne's in "Sense and Sensibility" (we'll let you guess which one is which!) Though now separated geographically, the two still find time to write letters, share big dreams, and send each other healthy living ideas. Hannah lives in Minnesota with her husband, Jacob, and her son, Abraham.
