It all began back in September of 2017 when Arianna was facilitating the St. Mary’s Fun Fest in Big Rapids, MI. Klayton was starting his first year at Ferris State and was looking to volunteer in the area as he decided to volunteer in the second portion of the event. Towards the end of the event, Ari had given all of the volunteers her phone number to report their volunteer hours and that is where it lied for three years in Klays contacts, until it was finally used. It was December of 2020, in the middle of the night, in Big Rapids, MI. Ari had texted Klay after talking on and off again for the past two months, but had ghosted him out of the blue only in recent times that he wanted to see her, to come over and hang out. Klay had received the message around 1:30 in the morning and he had made the treacherous journey to the apartment Ari lived in. That night, Arianna nor Klayton slept, though they thought that love had come, and that realization was something that could never be ended through sleep. It was only a few weeks in that, that they had made it official and started dating. Never again has love been so strong as it was seen in these two people.

Klayton and Arianna were in Mexico visiting her family. Klay knew the first time he would travel outside of the US, he would be marrying the girl who brought him there. They were traveling all day on April 5th, and Arianna wanted to take pictures with him in la plaza de Puerta de Mangos but first wanted to get her nails done. She ended up spending the entire night at the nail techs house and picking up dinner with her sister-in-law, brother, aunt, and cousins, while Klay and her entire family waited at her grandmas house. Klay knew that he had to wait for Ari to get her nails done before he proposed. The next day they spent most of the day in San Blas and touring around Nayarit. They took pictures, went on a boat, saw crocodiles, saw an AMAZING view on San Blas, and ended the day by coming back when the sun was down. Ari was extremely bummed as she knew this was their last day to get pictures at the plaza. Her family decided to stay and wanted to play a "game of Loteria". Ari was trying to convince Klay to go to the plaza and have one of her sister-in-laws come and take pictures of them, but he already had a beer in his hand and was starting to get comfortable. Ari was standing in the middle of the doorway while her entire family sat in the backyard waiting for the "game of Loteria", she then saw Klay get down on his knee, she was extremely confused and kept saying stop, stop, STOP, but Klay kept talking, ignoring her. She could not believe this was happening, especially in front of her family, despite her parents not being there. He ask her to marry him... IN SPANISH, thats when Ari began to cry and said YES!! SI!!! She hugged Klay and everyone began to cry. It was such a spectacular moment as Klay knew Ari wanted her family around her when he proposed.
