Enero 2021. Ella venezolana y él español, se encuentran en una clase de inglés en Houston. Se conocieron porque tenía que pasar. Pero ella se aseguró de que fueran amigos. Y a pesar de una pandemia y un encierro, esa amistad siguió creciendo. Pero seguía siendo solo eso, posiblemente porque él no se daba cuenta de las “evidentes” señales que ella le mandaba. Pero en octubre llegó su momento de película. En el cumpleaños de ella, por fin se besan. Y justo cuando todo parecía que podía funcionar, él se tiene que volver a España porque se le acaba el visado. Febrero de 2021 está marcado por la despedida. Pero su historia no podía terminar ahí. Tras más de medio año de llamadas hasta la madrugada, o mensajes de buenas noches mandados por la tarde por la diferencia horaria, él por fin tiene su vuelo de vuelta. Y justo antes de fin de año, se vuelven a encontrar en Houston. Hoy estamos planeando nuestra boda. Somos una familia de tres, y cada día luchamos por nuestros proyectos juntos. Esta es nuestra historia, y aunque solo nosotros sabemos lo que hemos luchado para hacerla realidad, con este pequeño relato os queríamos hacer parte de ella. January, 2021. She´s from Venezuela and he´s from Spain. They met in an English class in Houston. They met because it had to happen. But she made sure they were friends. After a global pandemic and a lockdown, they were still friends, just friends. Probably because he was clueless, even though she was sending “clear” signals. In October of that year, they had their movie moment. On her birthday, they finally kissed. But when everything was starting to look as if it could work, he had to go because his Visa was going to expire. February 2021 was clouded by the goodbye. However, their story could not end there. It was over half a year of video calls until 3 A.M, and goodnight messages from Houston sent at 6 P.M, but he finally made it back. Just before New Year, they met again. Today, we are planning our wedding. We are 3 in this family, and we fight together to make our projects come true. This is our story, and even though we´re the only ones that truly know how much we have fought for this, with this fragment we wanted to make you feel part of it too.
